The Colorful Gymnocalycium: Variegated Hybrid

The Colorful Yet Unidentified Gymnocalycium Hybrid

Variegated Gymnocalycium is nothing alien to Cactus grower, instead some people are into cactus because they received red or yellow moon cactus. Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'hibotan' is the name for those fully variegated chlorophyll deficient grafted cactus.

What I am about to share is a cactus which closely resembled a good mix of  Gymnocalycium horstii and G. damsii. Plus, it is variegated but able to grow by own root.

Here goes the champ!

I am unsure of the ID but will come back to this once firmed up with it.

The mix of yellow pink and green is pretty nice if you ask me, especially for a $USD15 Gymnocalycium. It might not be comparatively as majestic as Thailand breed but pretty impressive to grow.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
